Risk factor
Draft Cargo Mismatch
7.5% weight in the composite risk score
Scores draft mismatches, directional anomalies, and high-deviation readings.
Detection mechanism
Draft-change anomaly: three independent checks against the port's own historical draft-change baseline. Magnitude: flagged when the draft change deviates more than 2 standard deviations from the baseline mean — not a fixed percentage. Directional: flagged when the change runs opposite the port's dominant loading or unloading pattern, regardless of magnitude. Zero-change: flagged when a vessel shows no meaningful draft change at a port with an established loading or unloading pattern.
This factor is one input among 14. See the full risk-factor methodology for how they combine.
