Cargo Validation Methodology

This page publishes the latest hydrostatic cargo validation metrics and bias diagnostics used for trim/salinity calibration tuning.

Ground Truth Sources

  • Port authority manifests (`antaq_vessel_calls`) with cargo tonnage observations.
  • Bill-of-lading and customs declaration observations from `cargo_ground_truth_observations` when present.
  • Match rule: `imo_number` with nearest voyage arrival timestamp within configured day window.

The latest run (Nov 7, 2026, 04:10 AM) found no ground-truth cargo tonnage to compare against, so there are no error metrics to publish yet. Metrics will appear here once port-authority or customs tonnage observations are available for matched voyages.
